The short version
Worth Clarity stores what you enter into the app plus the name and email address Google shares when you sign in. Your data is isolated to your account in the database, is never sold or used for advertising, and can be exported or deleted by you at any time.
Who we are
Worth Clarity operates the Worth Clarity application and this website. You can reach us at hello@worthclarity.com.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Financial data you enter. Transactions, categories, recurring rules, budgets, goals, accounts, debts, IOUs, assets, portfolio holdings, sponsorships, payouts, household membership, notes, tags, and settings such as your currency and starting balance.
- Files you attach. Receipt images and PDFs you choose to attach to transactions.
- Public platform statistics. If you enable YouTube sync for an asset, we fetch that channel's public subscriber and view counts from the YouTube Data API.
- Technical data. Session cookies needed to keep you signed in, and preference cookies for theme, sidebar state, and privacy mode. The marketing site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
How we use it
Only to provide the product: to show your dashboard, forecasts, budgets, and reports; to run the recurring rules you create; to generate AI insights or answer Assistant questions when you ask; and to keep your account secure. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
AI features
When you use the Assistant, receipt scanning, or on-demand insights, a compact snapshot of the relevant numbers, the text you type, and any receipt you pick are sent to Anthropic's Claude models for processing. These features run only when you invoke them. The model has read-only access through tools that run on your own session, and it cannot change your ledger without your explicit confirmation in the app.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database and private storage bucket, protected by row-level security policies keyed to your user id. The application is hosted on Vercel. Transport is encrypted with TLS.
Sharing
If you join a Household, members see each other's headline totals such as available cash, this month's income and spending, and net worth. Individual transactions, notes, and categories are never shared. Platform administrators can see account metadata and usage counts for operating the service, but never your amounts, notes, balances, or category names.
Your controls
- Export everything you own as JSON or CSV from Settings.
- Clear your data from inside the app, or ask us to delete your account.
- Turn privacy mode on to blur every amount on screen.
- Leave or delete a Household at any time.
- Revoke Worth Clarity's access from your Google account settings.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete data or your account, it is removed from the live database promptly and from backups on their normal rotation.
Children
Worth Clarity is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app and on the changelog before it takes effect.
